Congratulations to Libby Trewin, this year's Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen recipient for West Fork. Libby was selected for demonstrating the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. She was honored on Tuesday, February 11th, at the DAR Good Citizen Presentation in Hampton. Congratulations Libby!

Mrs. Sturges' Little Warhawk VIP of the Week was Athena. She likes the colors purple and pink. Her interests are helping her mom clean, swimming, listening to music, and running. When Athena grows up, she wants to be a teacher and drive. A fun fact about Athena is she has one dog and two cats.

There will be a boys’ golf meeting with Coach Noss on Friday, February 14th during Warhawk time in the small gym.
If you are a 7th or 8th grade boy and are interested in playing basketball in the spring for the North Iowa Hurricanes please pick up a form in the office.
Franklin REC is sponsoring a Youth Tour to Washington DC June 15-21, 2025. To qualify, you must be a sophomore or junior residing in the Franklin REC service territory. To participate, you must fill out an application, take a quiz and go through an interview process. Applications are due by Monday, February 24, 2025. The quiz and interview will be held on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 at 2:00 PM. For an application, please stop by Mrs. Lillquist’s office. The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is now available for you to fill out. It is highly recommended that senior students planning to attend college in the fall of 2025 file the FAFSA. You can access the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov. You can do this on your own, but there is also help available with this process. ICAN (Iowa College Access Network) is now accepting FAFSA appointments. We are also hoping to schedule filing appointments with our College and Career Transition Counselor in the near future. The Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) can be set up at any time. This is a reminder that we are transitioning to a cashless ticketing system for all home athletics events this year. Options to purchase tickets include purchasing a ticket in advance on Bound or purchasing a ticket with a card at the gate (NO CASH ACCEPTED). Athletic ticket prices are $8 for Adults and $5 for Students/Senior Citizens. Thanks to our sponsors, Warhawk Students will again have free admission to all regular season home events for the 24/25 school year.

The elementary art room is once again seeking donations of cardboard toilet paper rolls and
cardboard paper towel rolls for one of our spring projects. We will be needing them by our return from Spring Break - each 5th grader needs two toilet paper rolls or 1 paper towel roll. Any help is very much appreciated!
